Welcome
Welcome to Ripon High School’s Activity and Athletic Webpage!
My name is Vincent Propson and I am the Ripon High School Athletic Director. I came to Ripon in 2023 from Randolph High School where I served as their Activities Director, 6-12 Teacher, and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Prior to Randolph I worked at the White Lake School District serving as the Athletic Director, PK-12 Physical Education and Health Education Teacher, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, and Varsity Coach. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education, while earning certifications in Strength and Conditioning and Coaching from Northern Michigan University and I earned my master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University where I majored in K12 Educational Leadership, which provided me with the opportunity to obtain my principal and director of curriculum licenses.
I am proud to represent the Ripon High School athletic programs. As a high school Athletic Director, my role revolves around overseeing all aspects of the school's athletic programs. I work closely with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes to ensure a well-rounded and competitive sports environment. My responsibilities include scheduling games and practices, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive and inclusive athletic culture. I am dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and the overall well-being of our student-athletes, both on and off the field.
The goal of our co-curricular programs is to provide opportunities for learning experiences difficult to replicate in a traditional classroom setting. Participation in the co-curricular program can provide innumerable opportunities to develop physical skills, emotional maturity, and responsible behavior in our student-athletes. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the school, to the program, to the other students involved, to the community, and to the athletes themselves. These experiences enable the student to achieve maximum benefit from his or her education.
To achieve this goal we follow the principles of our philosophy, which is to organize, develop and control an interscholastic athletic program that will promote the ideals of the Ripon Area School District and the greater-Ripon community. We aim to emphasize interscholastic athletics as a partnership with other school activities to contribute to the total educational experience, and to formulate and maintain policies that will cultivate the high ideals of good citizenship and sportsmanship.
Go Tigers!
